Mercedes-Benz C-Class ‘Edition C’ Launched at Rs 42.54 lakh



Snapshot: Mercedes-Benz India enhanced its C-Class portfolio by introducing the new ‘Edition C’ starting at a price of Rs 42.54 lakh (Ex Showroom).

Mercedes-Benz India enhanced its C-Class portfolio by introducing the new ‘Edition C’ starting at a price of Rs 42.54 lakh (Ex Showroom). The ‘Edition C’ will come packed with new exterior and interior upgrades, enhancing the sportiness of the existing C-Class. The Edition C gets a new paint option to the C-Class in India–the designo Hyacinth red. The car was launched by Roland Folger, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, and the Edition will be available with C 200, C 220 d and C 250 d Avantgarde variants.

The Exterior of the Edition C gets front apron spoiler lip and rear spoiler painted in black, a new paint option of designo Hyacinth red, high-gloss black painted 5 twin spoke light alloy wheels with a high-sheen finish ‘Edition C’ exterior badge, while the night package gets mirror housings, front twin louvres, beltline and side skirts in black LED logo projector for front doors with Mercedes-Benz logo. Inside the cabin, you find open-pore black ash wood trim finish, Sports pedal in stainless steel with embossed rubber studs and Garmin® Map Pilot SD card navigation system standard across variants of the ‘Edition C’.
Under the hood, the C-Class is offered in both petrol and diesel guise. The C200 variant is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine producing 181 bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque with power being sent to the rear wheels via the 7G-TRONIC PLUS gearbox. While there are two diesel variant on offer – a C220 d and C250 d that are powered by 168bhp of max power and 400 Nm of torque, and 201bhp power with 500Nm of top torque, respectively. All the variants are offered with 5 driving modes namely Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual.
